Back to the table.
Everything you need to know about playing Shuffleboard Heroes, plus a way to reach us.
How to play
- From Home, pick a card: Grand Tour to travel to your next stop, Friendly to play any legend you’ve met, or Cup for the Island Cup once you have 3 stamps.
- Choose Easy, Normal or Hard, then start the match.
- Tap the launch strip to place your puck.
- Drag forward from the puck to aim and set your power. The dotted guide shows your direction.
- Release to shoot. The legend takes their shot once your puck settles.
The rules in brief
- Each frame, both players slide four pucks, taking turns.
- Pucks must clear the foul line, or they’re removed.
- Only the player with the furthest puck scores. Each of their pucks ahead of their opponent’s best puck counts.
- A puck hanging over the far edge scores four.
- If the two leading pucks are tied, nobody scores that frame.
- The first player to reach at least 15 after a full frame wins.
Common questions
Why was my puck removed?
A puck that stops before the foul line, or slides off the end or sides of the table, is taken off before scoring.
Why didn’t I score?
Only the player with the furthest puck scores in each frame. If the two leading pucks are tied, nobody scores that frame.
How do hangers work?
A puck hanging over the far edge of the table scores four points, as long as it’s yours and it’s ahead of your opponent’s best puck.
What is the Grand Tour?
Eight stops, each with its own legend and table. Win at a stop to earn its stamp and travel on to the next. Any difficulty counts. Win all eight to become a Shuffleboard Hero. You can go back and play any stamped stop again.
What is a Friendly?
One match against any legend you’ve met. Pip and Mara are ready from the start; win on the Grand Tour to meet the others. A Friendly doesn’t add Grand Tour stamps, but it still earns XP, and a win earns that legend’s crest.
How does the Island Cup work?
The Island Cup opens once you have 3 Grand Tour stamps. Choose a difficulty, then play three legends in a row. Lose a round and that cup run ends; your XP is kept. Win all three for 200 bonus XP. You can retire from the cup at any time and start again from round 1.
What are tickets and Pucks?
Every frame you play earns XP, and XP adds up to tickets. In Pucks, you can buy a legend’s puck for 1 to 3 tickets, or one from the wild case for 2 to 6, and choose Play with these. Every puck plays exactly the same; they only look different. Tickets can’t be bought with money.
Does difficulty change the legends?
Easy, Normal and Hard change how precisely a legend shoots and how well they choose their shots. Their personality and favourite tactics stay the same, so Pip is cheeky on every setting.
Is my progress saved?
Yes. Your stamps, XP, tickets and Pucks are saved on your iPhone. A match in progress is saved at the end of every frame, so if the app closes you can carry on from Home; the frame you were in starts again.
Can I play against a friend?
No. Every match is you against one of the eight legends.
Does it need the internet?
No. No account or connection is needed.
Are there purchases or ads?
No ads, no in-app purchases and no subscriptions. You buy Shuffleboard Heroes once and it’s yours to keep.
Devices
Shuffleboard Heroes is made for iPhone and needs iOS 17 or later. Final device support will be confirmed at launch.
